Liantang Port

Liantang Highway Border Crossing is located at Liantang Street, Luohu District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, facing Luosha Road in the north and the Shenzhen River in the south, and is named “Heung Yuen Wai Border Control Point” in Hong Kong, which is an important port in the eastern part of the major pattern of constructing cross-boundary transportation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, namely, “west in and west out and east in and east out”. In September 2008, Shenzhen and Hong Kong decided to jointly construct the Liantang Boundary Control Point; in November 2013, the construction commenced; in October 2019, the State Council gave its approval for the opening of the control point to the public; in May 2020, the control point passed the national acceptance test; in August 2020, the Liantang Boundary Control Point was officially opened for cargo clearance; in February 2023, it was opened for passenger clearance. The Liantang Boundary Control Point adopts the “two places, two inspections” inspection method and the “one-stop” mode of direct passenger-vehicle and vehicle clearance, with a design capacity of 30,000 passenger trips/day, 17,850 vehicle trips/day (of which 15,000 trips/day for goods vehicles and 2,000 trips/day for minibuses), and a design capacity of 1,000 passenger trips/day. The design capacity is 30,000 passengers/day and 17,850 vehicles/day (including 15,000 goods vehicles/day, 2,000 small buses/day and 850 large buses/day). At present, the peak passenger flow has already exceeded 100,000 passenger trips, with an average of 65,000 passenger trips per day.
