Huanggang Port is a port connecting Shenzhen City and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, located in the south of Shenzhen City, it is a comprehensive passenger and cargo port in Shenzhen, which is open all day (24h). The construction of Huanggang Port began in May 1985, and was opened to the public on November 30, 1988 after approval by the State Council. the cargo portion of the port was opened to traffic on December 29, 1989, the cargo inspection channel was opened to traffic 24 hours a day on November 3, 1994, and the travel inspection channel was opened to traffic 24 hours a day on January 27, 2003. the redevelopment project of Huanggang Port was formally launched in June 2019, and the old travel inspection area was demolished to build a temporary travel inspection area. The old passenger clearance area has been demolished and a temporary passenger clearance building has been built. The temporary passenger clearance building occupies an area of about 51,000 square meters, with a total construction area of about 14,000 square meters. The first floor is an immigration passenger inspection hall, and the first mezzanine and second floor are service rooms; the inspection channels are divided into 40 passenger inspection channels and 8 passenger vehicle inspection channels.
