Gongbei Port, located at the junction of Gongbei of Zhuhai and Macao Customs Gate, is the largest land-based travel control point in China, and with a long history, it has become the traditional backbone channel connecting Zhuhai and Macao. The port adopts the traditional mode of “two places, two customs”, whereby travelers have to complete the immigration formalities for Zhuhai and Macao separately. The passenger hall is open from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. daily. Despite repeated expansions and renovations, the daily passenger flow often exceeds 400,000 during peak periods such as festivals and holidays, fully realizing its irreplaceable position as a core hub for the movement of people between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
