Hengqin Port is located in the Hengqin New District of Zhuhai and is connected to Cotai of Macau via the Lotus Bridge. The new Hengqin Boundary Crossing was fully opened on August 18, 2020 and provides 24-hour customs clearance service. The new Hengqin Border Crossing is the frontline and core hub of the Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone, and its passenger hall is currently the largest single building for passenger clearance in Asia. Hengqin Port has fully adopted the mode of “cooperative inspection and clearance, one-time release”, which has greatly enhanced its efficiency, with a designed daily flow of about 222,000 passengers and 7,250 vehicles. It is a new artery for promoting the moderate and diversified development of Macao's economy and facilitating the life and employment of residents of the two places.
