Hong Kong (Macao) Private Passenger Vehicle
Written application for a business name
- Notice of Approval for the Movement of Motor Vehicles and Drivers Between Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao (Mainland Host Unit Copy).
- For businesses registered as Hong Kong companies, submit the Chinese version of the Business Registration Certificate issued by the Business Registration Office of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. For those registered as Hong Kong limited companies, also provide the Certificate of Incorporation issued by the Companies Registry of Hong Kong. For businesses registered as Macau companies, submit the Chinese version of the Certificate issued by the Commercial and Movable Property Registry of the Macau Special Administrative Region Government. For foreign companies, submit the company's foreign Certificate of Incorporation along with a Chinese translation certified by a provincial notary office. For individuals, submit personal identification documents. Hong Kong and Macau residents must also submit their Hong Kong and Macau Residents Travel Permit to the Mainland (Home Visit Permit). Taiwan residents must submit their Taiwan Residents Travel Permit to the Mainland (Taiwan Compatriot Permit). Foreign citizens must submit their passport along with a Chinese translation certified by a provincial notary office.
- New vehicles must provide either the Vehicle Registration Document issued by the Transport Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government or the Certificate of Ownership/Motor Vehicle issued by the Commercial and Movable Property Registry of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government. The name of the Hong Kong (or Macao) private car owner must match the name of the investment business entity. If the owner's name differs from the investment entity: - For Hong Kong limited companies: Submit the Annual Return from the Companies Registry of the Hong Kong SAR Government. - For Hong Kong unlimited companies: Submit the Business Registration Application for Individuals Operating Business in Hong Kong from the Business Registration Office of the Hong Kong SAR Government. For Macau companies, a Certificate from the Commercial and Movable Property Registry of the Macao SAR Government must be submitted. For foreign companies, a solicitor's certification and its Chinese translation must be submitted when applying for Hong Kong (Macao) private car permits for Mainland travel. The above documents must prove the affiliation between the vehicle owner and the investment entity (e.g., parent-subsidiary relationship, shareholder or director status).

- When replacing a private vehicle under the Macau-Mainland Private Vehicle Quota Scheme, proof of the old vehicle's exit from the Mainland must be provided.
