Hengqin Port is situated in Zhuhai's Hengqin New Area, connected to Cotai, Macau via the Lotus Bridge. The passenger inspection channels at the new Hengqin Port of Entry commenced full operations on 18 August 2020, providing 24-hour clearance services. Serving as the forefront and core hub for the development of the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone, its passenger inspection hall stands as Asia's largest single-structure passenger inspection facility. Hengqin Port fully implements the “cooperative inspection, single clearance” model, significantly enhancing transit efficiency. Designed to handle approximately 222,000 passenger crossings and 7,250 vehicle crossings daily, it serves as a vital artery promoting Macao's moderate economic diversification and facilitating the daily lives and employment of residents on both sides.
