The Gongbei Port of Entry, situated at the junction of Zhuhai's Gongbei and Macau's Guanzhai, stands as China's busiest land border crossing for passenger inspections. With its long-standing history, it has become the traditional main artery connecting Zhuhai and Macau. The port operates under the traditional “two-place, two-inspection” model, requiring travellers to complete separate immigration procedures on both the Zhuhai and Macau sides. The passenger inspection hall operates daily from 6:00 am to 1:00 am the following day. Despite multiple expansions and renovations, daily passenger volumes frequently exceed 400,000 during peak periods such as public holidays, underscoring its irreplaceable status as a core hub for cross-border travel within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
