Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Port

Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Port

The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (“HZMB”) Boundary Crossing Facilities (“BCF”) is a mega cross-boundary transport hub connecting Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macao, and is located on an artificial island on the south side of Gongbei Bay in Zhuhai. The Boundary Crossing Facility, which opened simultaneously with the HZMB on 24 October 2018, is the world's first Boundary Crossing Facility to adopt the innovative "triple clearance" mode, i.e., the three governments will carry out inspections of cross-boundary travellers in the Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macao Boundary Crossing Facilities respectively. In particular, travellers between Zhuhai and Macao can enjoy the convenience of "co-operative inspection and clearance in one go", whereby they only need to queue up once to complete the clearance procedures at the border between the two places. With a designed clearance capacity of about 150,000 passengers and 15,000 vehicles per day, the Zhuhai-Macao Boundary Crossing Facility is an important physical carrier and a landmark project for the integrated development of the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
