Liantang Port

Liantang Highway Boundary Control Point is located at Liantang Street, Luohu District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, facing Luosha Road in the north and Shenzhen River in the south, and named “Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point” in Hong Kong, which is an important eastern boundary control point for constructing a major pattern of “west to west and east to east” for cross-boundary traffic between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. In September 2008, Shenzhen and Hong Kong decided to jointly construct the Liantang Boundary Control Point; in November 2013, the construction commenced; in October 2019, the State Council gave its approval for the opening of the control point to the public; in May 2020, the control point passed the national inspection and acceptance process; in August 2020, the Liantang Boundary Control Point was officially opened for cargo clearance; and in February 2023, it was commissioned for travelling clearance. The Liantang Boundary Control Point adopts the “two places, two inspections” inspection method and the direct passenger-vehicle and vehicle “one-stop” clearance modes, with a design capacity of 30,000 passenger trips per day, 17,850 vehicle trips per day (of which 15,000 trips for goods vehicles and 2,000 trips for light passenger vehicles), and 2,000 passenger trips for light passenger vehicles. The design capacity is 30,000 passengers/day and 17,850 vehicles/day (including 15,000 goods vehicles/day, 2,000 small buses/day and 850 large buses/day). At present, the peak passenger flow has already exceeded 100,000 passenger trips, with an average of 65,000 passenger trips per day.
