- New drivers must provide: - A photocopy of their Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card or Macau Resident Identity Card; - A photocopy of their People's Republic of China Motor Vehicle Driving Licence; - A photocopy of their Hong Kong (or Macau) driving licence; - A Hong Kong and Macau Residents' Mainland Travel Permit (Home Visit Permit); or - Foreign nationals must submit their passport along with a Chinese translation certified by a provincial notary office. Drivers of vehicles entering Hong Kong/Macau from the Mainland must also submit: Mainland Resident Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macau, Identity Card, People's Republic of China Motor Vehicle Driving Licence (copy).
