The passenger inspection channels at the new Hengqin Port of Entry fully opened on August 18, 2020, offering 24-hour clearance services. Serving as the forefront and core hub for the development of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone, its passenger inspection hall stands as Asia's largest single-structure passenger inspection facility. Hengqin Port fully implements the “cooperative inspection, single clearance” model, significantly enhancing travel efficiency. Designed to handle approximately 222,000 passenger trips and 7,250 vehicle trips daily, it serves as a vital artery for promoting Macao's diversified economic development and facilitating the daily lives and employment of residents in both regions.
