The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Port serves as a mega cross-border transportation hub connecting Hong Kong, Zhuhai, and Macao. It is situated on an artificial island south of Gongbei Bay in Zhuhai. The port opened simultaneously with the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge on October 24, 2018. It is the world's first port to adopt the innovative “three-port, three-inspection” clearance model, where the governments of Hong Kong, Zhuhai, and Macao conduct inspections on travelers within their respective port zones. Notably, between the Zhuhai and Macao port areas, travelers benefit from “cooperative inspection and single clearance,” requiring only one queue to complete border inspection procedures for both regions. Designed to handle approximately 150,000 passenger trips and 15,000 vehicle trips daily, it serves as a vital physical infrastructure and landmark project for the integrated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
