Shenzhen Bay Port

Shenzhen Bay Port is currently Asia's largest integrated passenger and cargo road port. Located at Dongjiao Tou in Shekou, Shenzhen, it comprises three main sections: the port area, Shenzhen Bay Bridge, and connecting roads. The port connects to Hong Kong's Ngau Keng Shek via Shenzhen Bay Bridge. The port covers an area of 117.9 hectares (41.6 hectares for the Hong Kong port area and 76.3 hectares for the Shenzhen port area). Officially opened on July 1, 2007, Shenzhen Bay Port is China's first land port operating under the “one location, two inspections” model. Its designed clearance capacity is 60,000 passenger trips per day and 58,700 vehicle trips per day (including 43,200 freight vehicles, 1,500 coaches, and 14,000 passenger cars). . The passenger inspection building features 62 outbound lanes (15 manual lanes, 47 self-service lanes) and 55 inbound lanes (17 manual lanes, 38 self-service lanes).

Customs and border inspection authorities each operate 17 lanes for passenger vehicles and 2 lanes for large buses at the passenger vehicle entry/exit inspection lanes. At the truck exit inspection lanes, Customs operates 27 lanes and border inspection operates 22 lanes. At the truck entry inspection lanes, Customs operates 26 lanes and border inspection operates 22 lanes. Customs operates 12 lanes at the secondary inspection area. Port inspection agencies include Customs and Border Control, while operating entities comprise banks, duty-free shops, and others.
