- Notice of Approval for Motor Vehicle Travel and Driver Operation in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao (Mainland Handling Unit Copy);
- New drivers must provide: - A photocopy of their Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card or Macau Resident Identity Card; - A photocopy of their People's Republic of China Motor Vehicle Driver's License; - A photocopy of their Hong Kong (or Macau) driver's license; - A Home Visit Permit (Hong Kong and Macau Residents' Mainland Travel Permit) or, for foreign nationals, a passport along with a Chinese translation certified by a provincial notary office. Drivers of vehicles entering Hong Kong/Macao from the Mainland must also submit: Mainland Resident Travel Permit to Hong Kong and Macao, ID card, and People's Republic of China Motor Vehicle Driver's License (copy).
- One recent, front-facing, bareheaded, red-background, 1-inch color photograph of the new driver;
- Application for Motor Vehicles Traveling to and from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao and Driver's License Application Form.
